Services

  • How many sessions are usually normal for one course of CST?
    Everyone is different, and the course of treatment is different depending on goals, health concerns, and other therapeutic experiences, among other variables. We suggest starting with 3 sessions, no more than 2 weeks apart, and then consulting with your practitioner on the best path forward for you.
  • Can I get massage, CST/SER, or any of your services while pregnant?
    Yes! However, clients must schedule with a practitioner who is trained to work with prenatal clients. Please contact our administrative team for assistance with booking.
  • Do you work with children?
    We provide CranioSacral Therapy services to clients ages 9–17 on a case-by-case basis. Clients seeking CST under the age of 9 are classified as pediatric and are referred to external specialists. All other services are determined if we can provide the best care for your child depending on the circumstance.   • What do the tier levels for your services mean?
    Tiers are based on experience, length of time a practitioner has been with our practice and their availability. However, the quality of care remains consistent across all tiers. You can expect the same high standard of service and professionalism from every practitioner.

Appointments and Scheduling

  • Can I book a same-day service?
    If a practitioner is available, same-day appointments are welcome. Please note that we require a minimum of three hours’ notice to accommodate the practitioner, so we encourage you to plan accordingly.
  • Can I add myself to a practitioner’s waitlist?
    Yes, you can via our booking link here (below). Be sure to list your availability so that your alerts come in for times you are generally able to come in. Our waiting list alerts come via email as well as SMS/text (from a different no-reply # like our appointment alerts) and will include a link to book the opening yourself. If you don’t have the time to log in or it’s not working, you can always text us (347-836-5442) to see if the opening is still available and we can book it for you if so.

  • Do you offer gift cards?

  • Are Haven’s services covered by health insurance?
    In the state of NY, most health insurance policies do not currently cover massage or bodywork performed by a licensed massage therapist. However, if you are interested in checking your out-of-network benefits for this or have been prescribed our work by a physician, please contact us for the correct details so that you can be sure to get the accurate information from your health insurance provider. Most workers’ comp cases and auto insurance policies will reimburse for massage when recovering from injuries sustained in these types of accidents. Please let us know in advance so that we can provide the necessary paperwork to submit for such cases.
  • Do you offer packages?
    Also, yes! We offer packages of 10 follow-up appointments for any service. Packages do not expire but convert to their dollar value after one year. For existing clients, we will often customize packages when requested (such as combining different types of services or time lengths).   • Is it customary to tip?
    Tips are genuinely not expected for our specialized bodywork services, and we hope that you invest this in your future sessions instead. However, if you loved your treatment and want to add a little something, our staff will humbly accept your generosity. For massage sessions, since it is more customary for people to tip their practitioner, this does tend to happen more often, however, the same idea applies!We gratefully accept gratuities via cash or via Haven and are paid out to practitioners with their normal pay.

  • Do you offer sliding-scale or any form of reduced rate sessions?
    We offer a financial hardship program, for which you can request information and apply by reaching out to us at [email protected]

Policies

  • What is the cancellation policy?
    While we understand that life can be unpredictable, your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves an opening that could have been offered to another client in need. Due to our specialized focus, most of our clients book well in advance, and last-minute cancellations make it difficult to offer the spot to someone else. As such, we maintain a strict cancellation and rescheduling policy and require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time will be charged in full. Thank you for your understanding.

Haven Holistic + Somatic Healing reserves the right to update or make case-specific amendments to our cancellation policy as needed. To maintain the integrity of our scheduling system, we may restrict or revoke online booking access in cases of misuse.
