A day of support for moms in the early years to cultivate healing and community (when things have been less than perfect).
Event Overview
Early motherhood can be profoundly beautiful—and also unexpectedly complex.
Beyond the surface, many mothers are quietly navigating identity shifts, unresolved trauma, relational strain, and a deep longing to feel more like themselves again. At the same time, many existing spaces can feel performative, overly clinical, or disconnected from the reality of lived experience.
Healing Mama’s Trauma was created to offer something different.
This is a thoughtfully curated, multi-modality experience designed to meet mothers where they are—with depth, nuance, and care. Through a blend of somatic therapies, relational work, clinical insight, and shared experience, this event creates multiple entry points into healing—whether you’re seeking hands-on support, meaningful conversation, or simply the relief of being in a space where you don’t have to explain yourself.
You are invited to move through the day in a way that feels intuitive—taking what resonates, and leaving what doesn’t.
What’s Included
Bodywork & Movement
Hands-on and experiential practices supporting nervous system regulation, physical recovery, and deeper mind-body connection.
This session offers a gentle introduction to Authentic Movement, a meditative, body-based practice that invites you to reconnect with yourself through intuitive movement and quiet awareness. In a supportive, non-judgmental space, you’ll be guided to listen inward—allowing the body to move naturally, without performance or expectation—while also experiencing the powerful role of witnessing and being witnessed. Particularly supportive for mothers navigating identity shifts, overwhelm, or disconnection after birth, this practice can help restore a sense of grounding, self-trust, and embodied connection. This 45m session will focus on understanding the goals of Authentic Movement and include one group exercise to demonstrate and experience it’s affects.
Facilitated by Gretchen Cohoon, LCSW relational and somatic psychotherapist specializing in trauma, couples work, and attachment-based healing. Grounded in Relational Life Therapy, her work supports clients in building deeper, more authentic connections with themselves and others.
Adult Children as Parents (Inner Child Meditation + Group Experience)
Motherhood often brings old patterns, emotions, and unmet needs to the surface in unexpected ways. This experiential group offers a gentle introduction to inner child work, helping you connect with younger parts of yourself through guided meditation, reflection, and optional sharing. You’ll be supported in exploring how past experiences may be shaping your present, while learning how to meet those parts with greater compassion and care. This session emphasizes embodied healing—moving beyond insight into lived, felt experience.

Closing Note
This is not a space that asks you to show up as your best self. It is a space that allows you to show up as you are.
You’re invited to take what you need—whether that’s support, insight, connection, or simply a moment to exhale.
